How long have you been a Pilates teacher and what inspired you to become one?

I have been a Pilates Teacher for 16 years. I have been teaching movement for over 30 years and When I started practicing Pilates I wanted to share it with others.

What’s your favourite Pilates exercise? Why?

I’m quite fickle and my favorite changes, I do try to do the ones that are not my favorite because those are the ones I probably need to do.

If Joe Pilates was still alive, what would you ask him?

I would have three questions;
1. Since our lifestyles are different would the work be different
2. Why did he choose some of the names
3. Can he give me a session

What are your top three tips for clients and students for progressing their Pilates practice?

  1. The process is more important then the destination
    2. Don’t look for perfection
    3. Enjoy

Describe your teaching style in less than ten words

Tough question. It depends on the body in front of me. And I try to teach with compassion and love.

Where are your three favourite places in the world?

I have found favorite things every where I have gone.

What are the top three things on your bucket list?

1. Continue to educate myself
2. Remember to enjoy the journey
3. Inspire others

My husband inspires me because he is so happy just living life. I am also truly inspired by my clients and fellow teachers when I get to help them.
