It’s time to get your ass back to class!
September is a time of new starts – new school terms, new seasons and new opportunities. Seize the day or Carpe Diem as the wonderful Robin Williams once said. Do something now that your body will thank you for in future. Pilates is a wonderful method of movement that will teach you things that will last you all your life. We believe everyone should move more and Pilates (and dance) will help you do just that. Movement helps the body and calms the mind – so come to the studio and let us show you how to look after your body this September!
Our new September timetables are now available to book online. As well as all our regular lunchtime, evening and Saturday classes, we now have new morning classes to facilitate the school run and we have new Barre classes for you to check out too.
We welcome Katrin Neue to the team this month. Katrin is a Pilates instructor, contemporary dancer and somatic educator. She is available for for one to one sessions as well as teaching group classes. Read more about Katrin.
Never done Pilates before? Never fear, we have the perfect solution. We offer a unique Foundation Course on our schedule which introduces you to both Matwork and Reformer group classes. You get to check out the benefits of each – and we include a 45 minute one to one session with an instructor. Foundation courses are available lunchtimes and evenings. If you have an injury or have been referred by a medical professional, we recommend try the Foundation Course one to one option instead. Group classes may not suitable if you have an injury. Any questions, just give us a call!
On Saturday September 27th we’re running a Foam Roller Release for Runners workshop. This 90 minute session will show you how best to use your foam roller to release tight muscles. We’ll also show you other Pilates tips and tricks than can keep you running for longer. We provide rollers on the day for you to use – but we’ll also have some for sale so you can practice at home too!

We are now offering Barre classes as they have emerged as one of the most popular fitness trends in recent years. Although it’s definitely not part of the Pilates repertoire, elements of Pilates principles are included in your Barre workout – and the goals of core strength, flexibility and balance are the same. Barre is a dynamic workout that’s fun and great for toning and streamlining the body. Taught by professional dance teachers, you’ll really feel the benefit of this class.
After we had so much fun at her intro class, we’re really excited to be hosting Luciana Festi’s Belly Dancing courses from Friday September 5th @ 7 – 8pm. Her next 6 week course is open to everyone from beginners to the experienced. Email [email protected] to book your place.
