We’ve plenty of reasons to get you more active and fitter this February. Even it is just to be able to hang on to your umbrella in the high winds! As promised some new early morning classes start fromStorm Header Wednesday 19th of February, Saturday classes are ongoing as well as our lunchtime and evening classes, so there’s plenty of ways to get your Pilates fix. Why not review the timetable and check what classes suit you? We’ve another Foundation Course starting the 4th of March that’s already filling up so book your place now. And remember, we also offer the Foundation Course on a one to one basis if the times listed don’t suit. Just get in touch if you want more info.

How to form new healthy habits

We wrote last month about how ineffectual New Year’s Resolutions can be as only 8% of people manage to keep them going after 6 weeks. So we suggested more focus on the positive instead – adding more healthy actions to your day. Hopefully this approach got you out for a walk, adding some Pilates to your day or even an extra portion of fruit or vegetables to your diet.

The theory is that it takes 28 – 30 days to build a habit and after that it becomes part of your daily routine. So what’s the best way to build a new healthy habit? To create the habit we need to follow a basic pattern – I think this model by Jamesclear.com is great and it has worked for me in the past. Continue reading…

New Instructors

Most of you have probably met the newest member of our team Cliodhna Hoey by now. She will be Cliodhna bio phototaking Monday evening classes and is also available for one to one sessions weekdays between 10am and 1pm. Cliodhna has a background as a professional contemporary dancer, is a chartered physiotherapist, as well as a Polestar Pilates rehab specialist. You can book one to one appointments with all of our instructors online too.

Booking System

Our booking system has been live since October, we hope you’re finding it easy to use and are enjoying our new drop in model for classes. We always welcome your feedback so let us know how you’re getting on with it and if you have any issues at all then please get in touch. Have you tried out the website on your tablet or smartphone? It’s design means you don’t need to download an app – just access your profile via the web. It works really well!
