It’s mid July, the temperature is above average and we’ve all been out enjoying the sunshine – definitely something we’d just love to get used to! It’s amazing how the sunny weather can improve our temperaments and even our health. The sun is an ideal source of Vitamin D which is essential for strong bones so get out there and talk a walk or a run or a cycle in the sunshine. To complement your cardiovascular fitness, and to help your strength and flexibility we offer a great mix of Pilates classes for all levels, as well as some amazing workshops to keep you in shape and ready for anything. We’ve a few changes to our summer timetable so be sure to check them out – and we are open all the way through July and August too, so you have every chance to get fitter, get stronger and get more flexible this summer.
Most of us think of our feet only if we have a blister, are trying to break in a new pair of shoes or if we have pain. Your feet are your means of getting around and without proper care and attention you’re setting yourself up for problems in the future.
On Saturday 26th of July at 12:30, we’re running a Healthy Feet workshop. Over 90 minutes we will show you how amazing your feet are and why they need your TLC. We’ll include some basic anatomy and instruct you on how to release them using a variety of props like spiky balls and flexbands at home.
After all that release work you’ll be dying to show off those tootsies, so in conjunction with The Buff Day Spa we are offering all clients either a €10 off voucher on their first treatment or for the ladies a File and Polish for the hands (worth €25) for every Fabulous Feet Luxury Pedicure booked. And remember, pedicures are good for guys too!
For those of you who couldn’t make it to the studio for Rebecca Leone’s visit earlier in the month, we recorded the Masterclasses so here’s the video of the Basically Advanced Masterclass she taught on the Saturday. For those of you who want more, she has lots of other videos on her Vimeo site too, so make sure to take a look. Enjoy!
We are now welcoming new Mums (and babies) to our Postnatal Pilates class on Fridays at 11am. This class will teach you how to re-activate your pelvic floor muscles, strengthen your deep abdominals and get your body back into great shape. And you can bring baby too, so no hassle with babysitters. We recommend a one to one session for new Mums prior to booking group classes. Contact us for details.
