My background belong to dance and for my own research of the human body I continued my education and I become a Pilates instructor.
It makes simple if you know earlier how to move your body.
What’s your favourite thing about teaching?
Seeing the improvements of my clients day by day!
What’s your least favourite thing about teaching?
One of my weakness is that some time I’m not able to separate my professional from my private life.
What’s your favourite Pilates exercise? Why?
Definitely Swan Dive!
Because I like the idea that my body can do and became everything, in all of his shapes, like a rocking chair 🙂
What Pilates exercise do you like the least? Why?
I’m not in love with the push up exercises, because I have tendency to go in scapular depression.
Describe your teaching style in less than ten words.
Hilarious, Emphasis of movement, Precision
What are your top tips for a client starting out with Pilates?
Be present, Breath, Keep Practice
What are your top tips for clients on progressing their Pilates practice?
Find your balance, fight your weakness, improve your body and your mind.
Who is someone who inspires you? Why?
My main inspiration has always been Walt Disney, the “Dyslexic creator of the magic Kingdom” , because his adversity didn’t slow him down in pursuing his dreams.
When you’re not teaching what do you like to do?
I’m Italian! Try to guess?! Food 🙂
Tell us one thing we might not know about you.
I’m from the largest of the volcanic Aeolian Islands, I’m active and passionate as much as the lava of a volcano.
Tamara is available for one to ones as well as teaching regular group classes in our studio.
